EDITORS’ CHOICE:  A MUST SEE SHOW – RANKIN BROTHERS

November 5, 2009, 8:00 PM

A six-member BransonCritic staff entourage attended the Rankin Brothers Show on Thursday night for the presentation of the 2009 Must See Show, Editors’ Choice Award.  Chad Ray, Director of Operations, made the presentation to Mark and Matt Rankin, backed by the entire cast on stage.  Chad gave a brief background of BransonCritic.com and then read some quotes from Rankin Brothers fans and Branson Critic editors, including:

Some of Editors:
Editor Kathy Bennett wrote:   The Rankin Brothers continue to be a favorite for locals and area visitors.  Mark and Matt are brimming with talent.  Their vocals are so smooth and are so close to the original artists, it's unbelievable.  The musicians are cream-of-the-crop, and the beautiful and talented Rankinettes know their stuff while performing the girls' rock and roll songs!  The friendliness, enjoyment, and love displayed by all on stage are genuine, and are displayed off-stage as well.

RANKIN BROTHERS - Classic Music Revue

March 27, 2009
The Starlite Theatre

The 2009 Rankin Brothers - Classic Music Revue made its debut on 16 March to a packed house in their beautiful new venue, the Starlite Theatre right on the Hwy 76 strip.  Expectations were high; after all they were awarded Best Duo Act, Best Male Entertainer and Best New Show of 2008.  Would they keep the 2008 show intact?  Would they dare venture away from proven success to incorporate new material into the show?

Some of the favorites from 2008 have been retained; e.g., the Righteous Brothers 1965 hit, “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’,” the Tokens’, “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” Chuck Berry’s, “Johnny B. Goode,” etc.  What makes their show such a big hit is that they perform songs the way the original artists performed them.  Going all the way back to the ‘50’s, the Rankin Brothers bring back memories and emotions as they recreate the authentic sounds of the times.

RANKIN BROTHERS – Best New Show 2008

December 22, 2008

On 23 November 2008, Chad Ray and six Branson Critics staff members joined an enthusiastic audience at the Welk Resort Theatre to see the evening performance of the Rankin Brothers Show.  Mid way through the first half, the show was stopped and Chad Ray was invited to the stage.  Chad explained to the audience briefly what Branson Critic is and the process for selecting award winners.  Chad was ill that night so Velva Cort, editor, accompanied him to the stage to handle the award.  Then Chad announced the Rankin Brothers Show as the winner of the Branson Critic Editors’ Choice Award for Best New Show 2008.   Chris Cathcart, producer, and Matt & Mark Rankin were on stage to accept the award.  Velva passed the award to Mark and the cheers started erupting, first from the band, and then the entire audience.  Everyone present was excited to see this talented group of entertainers, managers, producers, and technicians, recognized for all the work they put into presenting this top-notch award-winning show.

THE RANKIN BROTHERS ROCK!

September 10, 2008

Recently a group of friends and I attended the Rankin Brothers show.  To be perfectly honest, I was practically forced into the situation.  I wasn't really feeling up to going out and I had a pre-conceived notion that the brothers would be your mediocre, run-of-the-mill, take 'em or leave 'em type of entertainers.  I could not have been more wrong!

From the onset, the Rankin Brothers dominated your attention.  They perform a variety of music from the 50's to the 90's...all great selections, I might add.  Most shows have a gimmick...none here; these boys are pure entertainment.  Once the show started, I got started (as did many other members of the audience).  These were songs that I, as well as every other baby boomer, hold dear to the heart...songs we grew up with... memories... nostalgia...and all done to perfection.  We were not only singing along...we were moving and yes, even dancing in the aisles.  The entire audience (which included all ages) appeared to really be getting into the music.

Rankin Brothers - Classic Music Revue

June 12, 2008

My wife and I finally made it over to the Welk Resort Theatre to see the Rankin Brothers after so many friends said, “You’ve got to see it.”  Now we know why.  We should have known a first rate resort with a first rate theater is going to have a first rate show.  The Rankin Brothers deserve this beautiful venue where so many talented big names have played.

Our evening started with a quiet dessert at the Stage Door Restaurant right before show time.  Then, when we went into the theater and got settled in the comfortable seats, we were ready to be entertained.  The Rankin Brothers; Matt, Mark, and the entire cast, were ready to entertain.  They came out and the brothers explained who they were, how they came to be in Branson, and what the show was about - and then the Classic Music Revue began with Bob Seger’s 1978 hit, “Old Time Rock N’ Roll.”  This was well-performed and a perfect opening for two hours of music from the 50’s through the 90’s.  The brothers were learning the music of the 50’s and 60’s when they were in their teens.  They proved how well they learned with their second song of the evening, Eddie Cochran’s 1958 hit, “Summertime Blues.”  By this point in the show they had the audience convinced they were for real, they knew their stuff, and they knew how to entertain.

WOW! This is the first time I have seen the Rankin Brothers and what a wonderful show full of talent!!

Everyone in the show is fantastic, the brothers, the Rankinettes and the band. My cousin and I didn't want the show to stop and could have listened for two more hours.

Every song they sang we knew well and would look at each other and say "AMAZING".
Loved every imitation that was done and they were all spot on and very entertaining.

Wish I hadn't waited till this year to see them and I will surely put them on my list for next year.

On July 2 my husband and I went to see the Rankin Brothers show. It was his first time, but I have seen them several times, my favorite show in Branson! He really enjoyed the show, which I knew he would.

Each time I see the show, I think how can they be any better, they always surprise me and they just get better and better. Matt and Mark are great entertainers. When you go to the show, you will hear songs from Sonny and Cher, The Beach Boys, Neil Diamond, George Strait, John Denver, even Sir Paul McCartney. And I can't forget, Elvis Presley. That's just to name a few.

You will also be entertained by the Rankinettes as well- [they are] very talented ladies. I promise you won't be disappointed in this show.

I highly recommend it. You can see them at the Mickey Gilley Theater on Hwy 76, Wednesday through Saturday nights at 8:00.

You know how it is when you find something nobody knows about and it so great? Well that's what I would have to say about the Rankin Brothers show. I did not see any advertising for the show and I only found out about the show through word of mouth. But the show was exciting, funny and a great performance.

I only want to tell people about this wonderful show so that the Rankin Brothers will stay in Branson because if like all great things in life it must be shared or it will just go away and people will never get to know what great people the Rankins are and their staff. After each and every show the whole cast will meet with you and your family for pictures and autographs.

For me and my family the Rankin Brothers show is the best kept secret in Branson that needs to be experienced by everyone because I know it won't be long before it will be hard to get a ticket for this show as it will sell out each and every day so don't wait go now and grab a great seat and I'm sure I'll see you at the show

My wife and in-laws came to watch the show and everyone was amazed at how well the Rankin Brothers and their cast performed. The music was well chosen so that we all enjoyed listening to the music of the 50's, 60's 70's, and 80's. We all were able to be involved in the show clap and sing along.

I recommend this show highly and will come back for years to come. The instrumentalist and back up singers all did a great job. I can not believe how much they sounded like the actual performers that made the songs hits.

We could have stayed all night to hear this show.

It was by far the best show we attended on our trip.

Thanks for the trip down to memory lane.

What words do you use to describe this show....aren't any. The words I normally use to describe a good show (entertaining, great, delightful, talented) do not begin to describe this show. It goes far beyond those descriptive words. Just when I think it can't get any better, it does.

Whether your favorites from the past were The Beach Boys, The Everly Brothers, Jan & Dean or The Righteous Brothers, you will hear them and, if you close your eyes, you will think they are on the stage. Who is really on that stage are two of the most talented performers I have seen anywhere in the U.S. Their voices, their mannerisms and their gestures are right-on. Throw in George Strait and Dwight Yoakum for some country stars, and you have music for everybody.

I spend a lot of time in Branson and see a lot of good shows and some very talented performers and enjoy most of them; however, I see them Sunday thru Friday because Saturday night is RANKIN BROTHERS NIGHT. Yes, every Saturday night that we are in Branson, we are in the audience.....they are that great. I truly feel that anybody that visits Branson and does not see this show, has missed out on once-in-a-lifetime entertainment.

The Rankinettes are three lovely ladies that sing background for the Rankin Brothers and also shine when they come front and center and do some of their own music. The band is very talented and are a joy to watch.

From the time you enter the theater and meet all the fans of the Rankin Brothers and meet Mr. and Mrs. Rankin, you will cease feeling like an audience member and will feel like you are part of the family. That feeling continues through their "Meet and Greet" after the show when Matt and Mark, The Rankinettes, members of the band, Mr. and Mrs. Rankin and the fans of the show stick around to ask how you liked the show, share with you their past experiences with the Rankin Brothers and let you know they are truly glad you came to see the show.

Put The Rankin Brothers Show at the top of your list..........it is one you do not want to miss.

This is one of the BEST shows we have seen in Branson in a LONG, LONG, time.
We highly recommend it. A feel good show - GREAT Impressions, Talent, Variety, Costumes and ALL LIVE.

The staff was amazing, treated us like we were special guests - all the guests. Came around at intermission and talked to us, made us feel welcome.
What a first!

But getting back to the show - Mark and Matt Rankin are a MUST to see when you are in Branson. These are two VERY talented young men. Back up singers are also fantastic.

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOW.

April 1st, 2011, my mom and I went to see the Rankin Brothers show at the Mickey Gilley Theater. This is one of my favorite shows in Branson.

Matt and Mark Rankin just keep getting better and better.

They sing songs from the 50's on up to the 90's. No matter whose songs they are singing they sound just like the artist. There's a little bit of country in the show too. George Strait, Dwight Yokum, and John Denver’s songs along with the Beach Boys, Jan and Dean and others from that era. Elvis (Mark Rankin) makes and appearance.

Matt Rankin has started doing a little humor or comedy in the show this year. The Rankinettes make up the back ground vocals; they are Betsy Butler, Lori Kelly, and Amy Cofer they also sing some of the hits during the show as well.

Each show is recorded, so you are able to take the Rankin Brothers home with you!!

I highly recommend this show! This show is for any age.

My wife and I have been going to the Rankin Brothers Show for the past three years. We are part of our own Rankin Brothers Fan Club. Most of us have been to their show between 100 to 200 times and we enjoy every show and never get tired of seeing it. The show has so much energy and talent and there is never a dull moment. The songs continue one after another, and you will find yourself singing along with them.

Both Mark and Matt Rankin sing songs form the good old days the 50s, 60s and 70s. This is the music that we will never forget. They sing the songs in so many different voices, and sound better than most of the original singers. You will hear Elvis , George Strait, Bob Dylan , Buddy Holly and so many more. They just continue one song after another without stopping in so many different voices. You will sit there amazed wondering how some one can have so many voices and so much talent. The Rankin Brothers are from Texas and they brought to Branson one great show. Both Mark and Matt put so much into each show and enjoy doing it. They care about the people sitting in the audience and want to give them a show that they won't forget.

Also part of the show is the Rankinettes. They are three beautiful ladies, Lori, Amy and Leanna. They sing back up vocals and do several songs alone and together. These girls have so much talent and add so much to the show. They also will have you tapping you feet and singing along with them.

The Rankin Brothers also have a five piece band which is out of this world. This band can play anything. Some of the band members have worked with stars like George Jones, Kitty Wells, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and many others. The drummer Josh Roberts is only 18 years old and you should hear him play the drums.

I could talk about his show forever. You have to be there to see all the great talent on that stage. You'll find yourself singing along, clapping your hands and tapping your feet. This is a must see show for anyone coming to Branson.

I also could not complete this review without thanking The Rankin Brothers and their parents Larry and Sherry Rankin, for bringing this great show to Branson. Anyone coming to Branson make sure that you see the Rankin Brothers Show at the Caravelle Theatre Tue, Thu and Sat at 8pm. It's a show that you will never forget and want to see again.

Thank You Again

I have seen the Rankin Brothers perform 68 times this year. I have also seen several other shows in town to compare what the Rankin Brothers offer versus what other shows offer.

I don’t think that there is really a bad show in town, but the Rankins out class most shows with their version of the selections that they sing. The band is second to no other band because of their depth at each instrument. If you listen to the original song and the way that the Rankins and the Rankinettes portray their version of the selection, you'd have to agree that they are very good and have worked hard to portray as good or better than the original selection.

This is by far the best show in town and you can not find any better Christian people then Mark and Matt Rankin and also their parents-Larry and Sheri.

I would vote for them to be the Best Show and Best Band in town

This show is by far the BEST SHOW on the strip.

The songs selected for the show are done as good, if not better, then the originals. The Rankinettes do an excellent job on the selections that they sing and are perfect for back ups for the songs that the Rankins perform. They have the best talented band by far.

The show moves along at a good pace and the audience participation can easily be enjoyed. The Rankins portray Buddy Holly, The Righteous Brothers and Elvis to a tee. If you turned your back and heard the selections being sung by the Rankins, you would swear the original singers was performing.

Once you see the show, your hooked. I have seen several shows in town and always tell newcomers to town that you are going to miss a very good show if you don’t go see the Rankin Brothers perform.

The Rankin Brother's, Mark and Matt are really great guys. Two of the nicest guys you would ever meet. The three young ladies in the show are not only very talented, but also really very nice. The music is the best in Branson. I have been to this show many times, and every time seems just a little bit better than the last. It is so good to hear all the old songs brought to life by these guys. I sometimes don't think they realize how good that they really are. Where else in Branson can you hear a great band, great songs delivered by two really talented guys like the Rankin Brother's. The girls are a great plus and very talented. One was even a runner up to Mrs. America. A great rendition of an old Sonny and Cher number is one of my favorites, as well as Matt on the guitar doing a great old Chuck Berry number. This show is a must see.

I saw this show last year and loved it and thought they could not get any better but I was wrong. They are even funnier and the songs are awesome.

I especially loved the Bob Dylan rendition. He was better than the Bob Dylan and he looked just like him. I had to really think about it to figure out it wasn't really Bob Dylan. How they actually sound like all the artists is beyond me. It is just the best show I have seen at Branson.

In fact it is the best show I have seen anywhere.

We have been to a lot of places on vacations and we both agree this is the most versatile show around. We plan to come back next year and will definitely go to their show.

FANTASTIC. This is by far the BEST SHOW in Branson.

I've seen it several times, and each time I enjoy it more. It keeps getting better. The Rankin Brothers do such a wonderful job on the songs they sing. And they really do sound like the original artists. They take you back in time and bring back so many great memories. There stage presence is great, and you can really tell that they enjoy what they are doing.

I also think this show has one of the best Bands in Branson. They are all very talented, and really work well together. The Rankinettes are fantastic. They are all great singers, and they do a great job on back up or when there doing solo's. This is a high energy show. Great Music, Great Singers, Great Band. The Rankin Brothers are a Winner.

A must see show when you come to Branson.

I take all my visitors from Iowa to the show, and they love just love it.

The Rankin Brothers is my favorite show in Branson. As a frequent visitor to Branson this is the #1 show. They are a CLASSIC, they sing and play Rock & Roll, from the 50's 60's and 70's.

Matt and Mark Rankin take you back in time, and bring the memories of our youth. They have so much talent to give- they are excellent singers, performers, and musicians. Mark is the best Elvis, He is the King of Rock & Roll. Matt sings and plays the guitar as if you were listening to Buddy Holly.

This show is family oriented, any age would be welcome and enjoy the music. Matt and Mark work together great you can observe the magic they have in their performance's, and the love they have for music.
They have chosen the very best in the Rankinettes their songs and voices are breathtaking, the band members are the best.

I always look forward to our trips to Branson.

I have seen this show many, many times and just cannot say enough about how good this show is. The Brothers have been in Branson 3 years now and each year has been better then the year before.

My goodness, what tremendous talent these two young men have. (They have) such incredible voices with so much range in their voices. I don't know any artist they can't do and sound just like who ever recorded that particular song. This is a very family friendly show, and enjoyed by all ages. It will have you clapping your hands, singing along and moving to the beat of the music. And what wonderful music it is. Each musician is top notch on whatever instrument they play.

The three young ladies who sing back up are outstanding as well. The do a great job of singing on their own and are very personable and attractive young ladies. All of the songs that the brothers do will take you back in time bringing back so many wonderful memories. And the Brothers, and the girls, and some of the band, love meeting each a every one of you after the show. Sign your autographs, and just get to know you and find out where you are from, and thank you for attending the show. The show is at the Caravelle Theater on 76 on the strip, you can't miss the big sign out front. Seating is very comfortable. The brothers do so many of the great songs of the fifties, sixties and seventies and do them to perfection. I just love this show and never miss seeing it if at all possible, when we are in Branson. It is very high on our list. These two young men and their entire band, and back up singers, are some of the nicest, most personable, warm & friendly people you will ever meet. And when you meet the brother’s parents you will understand why they are like they are.

I would love to see this show win one of this year’s awards. What a show and what incredible talent. Don't miss this one. It is well worth your time.

This show starts out with high energy and ends the same way with Johnny B Good. The Rankin Brothers show (as one of the people who sat next to me said) is one of best shows they had seen in Branson.

Mark and Matt selection of songs from Duos of the 50's & 60's to Buddy Holly and Elvis are truly amazing. The band and Rankinettes add to the show but the stars are the brothers who I think must be able to do any singer even country. Their brotherly taunting back and forth, especially during the Elvis set keeps smiles on everyone’s faces. Matt and Mark make a special effort to talk to everyone that comes to the show and spends time signing pictures and taking pictures with those who want one. My 4 year old grandson saw it twice, sang with the songs and loved every minute of it especially the Sonny & Cher set and Sonny's hair. The show never gets old as I have seen it three times this year and will also go to the Christmas show.

THEY WERE FABULOUS!!!!! I can not say enough about them.

The band was the best and the Rankin brother doing Johnny B Goode was awesome. His guitar playing was unbelievable. Both of them sang the songs just like or better than the original artists. I couldn't have been more pleased at the choices of songs and the comedy they plugged into the show. What a happy and enjoyable time I had at the show.

I will definitely go back when I come back to Branson.

I think their version of the Righteous Brothers was the best. Also the Elvis songs he sang were fabulous. He sounds just like him. It was truly a really enjoyable show and I will be back.

This is the second time this year that we were in Branson and saw the Rankin Brothers show, the first time was their season opening show back in March. Each time we see their show, it only gets better and we will probably return to Branson for their Christmas show.

They quickly have the audience giving standing ovations at the end of almost all their songs. Even the most reserved of persons in the audience usually will eventually join in with the crowd in giving them praise to the point that they almost become a part of the show.

All of the vocalists and band members are "top-notch" great performers, in addition to being accessible to meet the audience after each show. All of the performers and band are very friendly and unpretentious--------something that is almost unheard with some "star quality" performers. Mark & Matt Rankin are both "Stars" in every respect and have remarkable God given talent. Their show is one for all ages; we have seen their show several times and have never seen or heard anything in the show that would be objectionable to anyone. The Rankinetts are both beautiful and extremely talented to give the show that indescribably element of true enjoyment. The Rankin Brother's show has captured the songs of our teenage years in the late 1950's and early 60's perfectly and many of their songs are clearly better than the originals.

Our advice for those in Branson that love the music of the 50', 60's and 70's is to see the Rankin Brothers show---------we think you will be pleased.

This is a fun show, and very family friendly.

What truly gifted young men these two are. Both have incredible voices, and great personalities. They cover a wide variety of songs and do each one to perfection. I did not think they could top last year show but they have. This year Mark has added in a well known song by Dwight Yokum "Guitars and Cadillac's", and another one by Jay and the Americans, "Cara Mia", and one by Bob Dylan, "How Does It Feel". Doing each one sounding just like the original artist, just as they do on all of their songs. Matt of course does a wonderful job on " Unchained Melody" and "The Lion Sleeps tonight". And of course, a fantastic job doing Buddy Holly. And everyone loves Mark's Elvis. This show will keep you laughing and clapping your hands through out the show. What talented young men these two are, and so very personable.

It has a great band, and very talented back up singers! who do songs on their own as well. They have some great choreography. They are very talented also, and very well liked. It is on the strip in the Caravelle Theater. Seating is very comfortable and you are made to feel most welcome. What incredible range these two have in their voices. It is a show I have seen many, many times and dearly loved. A show you won't want to miss. It will take you back in time leaving you with such wonderful memories. Just a whole lot of fun to be had by all. Lots of laughs, and leave you in awe of the talent of these two young men.

You will be dancing in your seats. Go see this one, you won't be sorry you did. Great show.

We have been to Branson many times. There are a lot of good shows. But there is one show that we never miss- The Rankin Brothers. They are so talented. They sing every thing from the fifties & sixties to country.

The ladies who sing in their show have so much talent. Mark and the tall Rankinett do Sonny & Cher they do a good job and make you laugh they are so good. They have so much energy and seem to have so much fun and that just flow to the audiences. In each show that we have been to the brothers give each other a hard time.

My wife and I enjoy this a lot. They have so much vocal and musical talents. We have had several people go to their show and gone with us and every one has enjoyed it as much as we have and said they would come back.

We live in Texas and tell every one that go to Branson to go see the Rankin. And if they don't enjoy it we give there money back. It has never cost us a dime. In fact everyone has thanked us. And said how great they are.

Mark and Matt impressionists are AWESOME. And Mark came out and did Bob Dylan man that blew me away. I just love the whole show. I will see the show every time we go to Branson.

They are number one.

the only for me to see. A great family show and each show was a little different.

I am coming back in November 2010 for 4 days and the Rankin Brothers is the only

has talked to them.

What more can I say except, Thank GOD for the Rankin Family.

Well, I saw them at the Welk Theatre a few years ago and loved the show. Lots of talent. I think they could sing anything. Every song sounded just like the original singer. That Matt can really sound like Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers and Buddy Holly for that matter. I liked all of the Buddy Holly songs he sang. It brought back a lot of memories from the past. Mark's Elvis is still the best I have ever heard. I liked the Sunny and Cher too. They both were great.

I plan to come back again later this year and will be bringing family. I wouldn't come to Branson without seeing the Rankin Brothers. They are the best impressionist artists I have ever heard or seen. I play their CD's all the time in my vehicle when I travel. Just wanted to let you know how I felt about the show.

We come to Branson in May and November every year. We come to see The Rankins. We get tickets for every night for a week. We love the rock and roll music and The Rankins sound just like the original artists. Our favorite songs from the 50's are The
Everly Brothers singing "Dream" and "The Trilogy" by Elvis Presley. They do a fantastic job. We usually like front row seats but we find that where ever we sit we have a perfectly good view of the stage. We can just lean back and reminisce about the good old days. The Rankins play 50's-60's and 70's music, you're sure to hear something you love, they sound so much like the original artists. This is a wonderful show for the entire family.

The Rankins, the band and the backup singers are so warm and friendly, we just
enjoy visiting with each of them after the show. They also have a lovely older
couple that helps them in the theater, always smiling and greeting people, we
always look forward to seeing them.

A fantastic show for the whole family.

The Rankin Brothers Classic Music Revue has to be one of the best shows my family
and I have seen in years in Branson.

It is not only entertaining, but up lifting, memorable and you feel like a million when you leave the show. You just want it to continue all night long. The Rankin family is incredible and you feel so welcome and know that they really appreciated your visit. Mark and Matt Rankin have talent that is unbelievable - you actually can close your eyes and think that The Righteous Brothers, Buddy Holly, Neil Diamond, Sonny and Cher and yes even Elvis are performing right before you on stage. The boys have mastered, not as impressionist, but as true artists - the style, the actions, the music of the original artists. Their brotherly antics and comedy can be compared to the much loved Smothers Brothers. The Rankinettes and the Rankin Band are filled with star power.

If you love the 50's, 60's and 70's and want to relive your high school days - you must see the Rankin Brothers Classic Music Revue at the Caravelle Theatre.

My wife and I usually travel to Branson 3 or 4 times each year and we saw their first show of the 2010 season. The last three years since Mark and Matt Rankin now perform in Branson, we now primarily come to see The Rankin Brothers because they play the music we listened to as teenagers-----------except their music is actually superior to many of the original performers. As teenagers, we saw several of those original performer’s shows so we believe that we can objectively compare their performance.

Anyone that attends the Rankin Brothers show will have the opportunity to meet Mark and Matt Rankin, the Rankinettes and some members of their band after each show. All the members of the show are so extremely talented that each show is a "first Class" event. After the show when you meet the members of the Rankin Brothers show, you will already have seen their amazing talent and then learn what a really nice group they are.

When you are in Branson, this is a show that you must see if you appreciate good clean entertainment of the very highest quality. It is approximately 450 miles to Branson from where we live and their show alone is clearly worth the drive. When Mark sings his Elvis songs, you can close your eyes and you are hearing Elvis. When Matt sings the Buddy Holly songs, you don't have to close you eyes because he both sounds and looks like Buddy Holly. They had the audience giving standing ovations at the end of almost each of their songs. The Rankinettes are three very beautiful singers that are truly stars on their own and receive many standing ovations also.

Their band is also a top quality group that certainly compliments the vocal talents of the singers. Our praise for this show is only limited by our vocabulary. Don't miss seeing this show while in Branson.

The Rankin Brothers show is the best yet. Their charm, humor and just plain great showmanship makes a show well worth the trip alone. Mark's portrayal of many different beloved entertainers are cute (especially Sonny and Cher), Willy, and George Strait. Matt's solo of Unchained Melody in enchanting. The Rankinettes add their charm and talent to the show along with a great band of musicians. Their desire to meet each and every one of their patrons after the show makes it an endearing and forgettable experience. This show is a must for any visit to Branson. Looking forward to next season. Great job, guys!

The  first time I went to the show I thought it was the best show in Branson .The music was great. The songs they did sounded just like the  original artists. It really brought back a lot of good memories. Made me feel like a teenager all over again. It was GREAT.  The second time we went my niece and husband were visiting from Iowa. We had front row seats. It was fantastic. They thought it was  the best show they had ever seen in Branson. I think the more you see it the better it gets. I'm going to tell all my friends in Iowa that come down for a visit to see it.  And my husband and  I will be going again.  The Rankin Brothers are well worth seeing more than once.

We have seen many shows in Branson. But the Rankin Brothers rank # 1 with me. Because they bring back memories of good music. They perform the songs as if you were listening to the original artist. They can sing and play songs of all eras, my preference is the 50's & 60's and their gospel songs.

Mark is great Elvis, The King of Rock & Roll and no one that can perform Buddy Holly like Matt. They work together as a comic. It is a good family show, all ages will enjoy The Rankin Brothers.

They have chosen the very best as their back up singers and musicians. They play the guitar with perfection.

I look forward to my trips to Branson, for they are fortunate to have such talented people as The Rankin Brothers to represent their city.

We moved to Branson 2007. We started seeing the Rankin Brothers in 2008 at the Welk Theatre. We enjoyed their show so much that we returned several times, and enjoyed it more and more every time we went. In 2009 we started with their first show at the Starlite Theatre. As of September 25,2009 we have seen their show 68 Times and will continue to see them the rest of the year.

Mark & Matt Rankin along with their parents re about the best people that anyone could ever meet. They make everyone feel welcome at every show. The first time that you're meet them they make you feel like you have been friends for a long time. After each show along with the Rankinettes and their parents they meet anyone who wants to talk with them, even if you don't buy any CDs or pictures. And you don't get the rush job. They will stay and meet with you as long as you want. This means a lot to people.

Anyone who is visiting Branson and goes to see the Rankin Brothers will enjoy their show. From the very first song until the last, every minute is exciting. You never get bored. It's just not a song to them; they sing every song with meaning. You can hear the words to each song, and it's not a bunch of noise. Mark & Matt are true professionals and when they sing they sound better that the original singers. Included in the show Mark does Elvis, Willie Nelson, George Strait, Roy Orbison and Many others. Matt does a tribute to Buddy Holly and plays a mean guitar He also sings The Lion Sleeps Tonight, and what a great job he does with this song.  The brothers also do The Everly Brothers, The Beach Boys and many other duo groups. There are so many songs and all done with feeling. A lady visiting from Germany said to me at the show last week they sing from the inside and that is how you can tell they are great singers. It’s hard to put in words how GREAT the RANKIN BROTHERS

SHOW is. To my wife and me it's the best show in Branson. These two brothers deserve any awards they get. They work so hard at every show to give their audience a great memory of Branson, and a show they will never forget. The Rankin Brothers get our VOTE for the best show in Branson for 2009.

This was the forth trip to Branson this year for my wife and I. We have seen many shows before in Branson, but this one tops all the rest. We live in Cleburne, Texas and this is about a nine-hour drive. We plan at least one more trip this year to see the Rankin Brothers Christmas show.

The performance of these brothers and their group is outstanding, they do not have a comedy act, although I gave them a 4 they make the crowd laugh at their comments towards each other. They put on a great Christian show for the young and old, and the songs they sing bring back old memories for me, and make new ones for the younger generation. This has got to be the best show in Branson. They deserve to receive the Branson Critic award for the pure pleasure they provide for their audience. My trips to Branson are always entertaining, and I cannot wait to get back.

The show is the best show we have seen in several years. We travel a lot and see many shows in several states such as Vegas, Pigeon Forge Tenn. The show was very interesting .the show had a lot of different songs that my wife and I grew up listing to. This was a great plus for us. We have had some friends go to the show with us who were not our age and they enjoyed the show and went to it again without us. The two brothers and the ladies in the show made us feel like we were important too them. After the show they not only singed our cds they told us how much they appreciated us. They are Christians and that is important to us. The seats in the show were great the show is on the strip and easy to find. This is a great night of fun for people of any age. These guys and ladies are soooo good.

This is a great show!!!

My husband and myself travel all over this country and see many shows. This show is different from any we have seen. The two brothers have so much talent that it is unbelievable. We have been hearing the songs for most of our lives and these men sing them better that the persons who made the records. We listen to their the cd so much that we know what song comes on next. After the show all the people in the show made us feel inportant. They not only sign the cds they told us how much they appreciated us. This show is good for all ages. We tell friends about the show and tell them if they go and don't like it we will give them their money back. We have a lot of friends go to the show and have not had one who was not impressed. The show is on the strip and the seats are great. What else can you ask for?

You will love this show.

The Rankin Brothers was a wonderful surprise on our first trip to Branson. We heard they were best new show in 2008 and decided to see for ourselves. We were delighted by the talents they displayed, both as singers and musicians. They did a terrific job taking the audience back down memory lane as they did amazing impressions of one artist after the other from the 50's and 60's. From Neil Diamond and Elvis to Buddy Holly and Chuck Berry; Willie Nelson to George Strait...both brothers delighted the audience with their musical talents. Their humor added yet another dimension to their show and everyone left tapping their toes and wishing for more. They certainly lived up to their 2008 award for best new show and should be considered right up there with the best...period. We would definitely recommend this family show to anyone looking for a great experience in Branson. And to top it all off, they were genuinely nice young men to boot. What a treat!

I have been to Branson many many times and I just want to say that this show is the best I have ever seen.  The time went so quickly during the show because it was so mesmerizing that it was over before I knew it.  The musicians were awesome and the singing both by the Rankin Brothers and by the backup singers was fantastic.  I thought it was the original artists.  It brought back memories from the past. I will go see them every time I am in Branson and I am telling everyone I know about their show.  It was fabulous!  A real time machine back into the 60's.  What a good time I had as well as my friends that I went with.  We all talked about them for days. They are the best show in Branson and we have seen them all.

I went with my husband and our friends to see shows in Branson.  We saw the Rankin Brothers one evening and WOW!  They were great.  I was whisked back in time to the 60's.  What a show, great singing by the Rankins and the back up singers and great music and the comedy was outstanding.  We saw them last year but they are even better this year.  It was like a whole new show.  What a great time we all had and will definitely go see them again.  We are planning another trip later this fall and will be bringing family with us to see them.  They sound just like the original artists and I thought I would bust a gut laughing when they cut up with each other.  That air conditioning filter part is so funny.  We just want to say how we enjoyed them and think they are the best in Branson.

I am happy to vote for the Rankin Brothers. I love their show!

It is so fun to take a walk with them down memory lane and remember what you were doing and with whom, when each of these hits are performed.

The build up to the Elvis piece is very clever and baits the audience with great anticipation. Then when "Elvis" finally delivers, Marks performance is spot on! You could close your eyes and think the King himself were on the stage; hairy chest and all. (Matt takes care of that in short order!)

The banter between Mark and Matt really keeps the audience connected with the Rankin Brothers and not just sitting in a seat waiting for the next song. Some of my other favorites are the Everly Bros., Conway Twitty (awesome), and when Matt rocks with Buddy Holly singing "That'll Be The Day". The new addition of the George Strait piece was GREAT.

I laughed, I cried, I rocked and rolled. These guys get standing o's and totally deserve them. I have been fortunate to meet mom and dad Rankin and it's easy to see where these Texas boys get their charm and charisma.

For anyone who hasn't seen this show, it is a rock 'n roll must on your next trip to Branson.

FABULOUS SHOW!!

The Rankin Show is at the top of my list everytime I come to Branson. The show is so entertaining, with all the 50's and 60's and some 70's music. I love to sit there and reminis and dream about the good old days, I even find myself singing along with them. The Rankins really amaze me, how they sound just like the artists, I just can't sit still,I want to get up and dance. It's just such a fun show, and everybody on stage looks and acts like they are really having a good time.I noticed after the show, the Rankins stay and talk with people and give autographs until the last person has left the building.Even the people involved in the show are so friendly, speaking to people and chatting with them, they act like they really enjoy what they are doing.I look forward to seeing the show when I return in November.

These young men have a special talent like none I have seen before in anyone. The way their voices can change into the artist of the song they are singing. The one that really amazed me on their website I visit often, was Matt singing the Lion Sleeps Tonight. I had to switch to the Token's song and listen, if I were not watching the difference I couldn't tell. They are amazing. I grew up in the era that all their music comes from. The Satellite Theater, Staff, and everything about the show, especially Matt and Mark just blew me away. Believe me I will be back again and again. It seems like from the time they lived and worked in the Dallas area, these artist have blossomed. To my way of thinking they have found their home. I can't see hou they could improve any more, but they are still amazing me. Their personalities, their family ties, even as brothers shows all the love and respect toward each other, and the way they work together is so obvious on the stage and their website. I met Matt once and talked with him. He was so intent on listening to me and what I was saying it made me feel I was the only person standing there in the crowd. I really want to see a lot more of Matt and Mark.

Thank You

We went to five shows at various theaters and this was by far the best. When they did an "Elvis" song, Elvis himself could not have done it any better. The Righteous Bros, Buddy Holly, etc. They were all excellent! We can't wait to see them again. After the show the whole group visited with the fans. Each of them signed autographs and talked with the fans for quite a while. We told many of our friends about he show and how much we liked it; if they get to Branson this is a show they have to see. The people we talked to at the show enjoyed it every bit as much as we did. Many of them had not heard of them before the show. They won't be unknown for long. Definately a show you must see!!!

I first saw The Rankin Brothers in 2008 in Branson. I thoroughly enjoyed the show, and just went back yesterday(this year). The complete group is so talented and enjoyable. They all seem to really have a lot of fun at ther job. The compatibility of all the group is very evident. There is such a variety of music, including instrumentals, and of course, comedy. The wholesomeness of the cast is a real attribute. I can't believe the voice that comes from the "little" brother, Mark. It's awesome! The instrumentalists are very blessed with talent also. And, of course, the Rankinettes(the girl backup singers) are very talented, and pleasing to the ear as well...Matt, the taller, younger brother, (sorry Mark) is very talented on the guitar and vocals also. I just appreciated everyone in the show...Very family oriented. I would reccomend this show to everyone, young and old. This is the best show we've seen in Branson in several years. I appreciate what these two brothers have brought to Branson.

Very Sincerely,

The Rankin brothers put on an exciting and accurate blend of old and new music. their interpretation of the old rock and roll stars is 'dead on'! Matt Rankin's Chuck Berry 'Goose Step' is as good as Chuck's and his Buddy Holly is perfect.Mark Rankin's Elvis is tasteful with just the right amount of humor. If you close your eyes and listen you would think Elvis was on stage. The musical ability of the Brothers is excellent with well designed playlist that keep the mood lively and within the era they are re-creating. The newer songs in their repitiore are done with their own genuine style and flavor. The backup vocals and band members all contribute to the overall show to make it what I believe is the best in Branson! After the show the Brothers meet and greet you in the lobby with an honest and personal "thank you so much for coming to our show"

The Only show to see in Branson. The boys made us feel like we were back in the 50's and 60's when we got married. How they sound like the artist and in some cases, better than the artist, just blow me away. The show was ABOVE anything else in Branson. The cast was just as great and you can tall they enjoy what they are doing. Another great thing is that they come out after the show and talk to everone, till the last person leaves. After we left the show, we told eveyrone we saw, you got to go and see the Rankin Brothers. We have been in the Branson area for going on 6 years and have seen all the shows Branson has to offer. The Rankin Brothers show is the best to date. Mark, Matt and their supporting cast offer an atmosphere that involves everyone in the audience. The music and song selection is what makes them number one in my book. Every song the cast entertains with is a song that everyone in the audience knows, claps to and sings along with. Once the songs begin there is a rousing roar due to the fact that everyone knows the songs and appreciates their selection. The Elvis impersonation is priceless. One can tell that the brothers are truly Elvis fans and have worked hard to pay tribute to the King.

Lastly, the segment of the show that is dear to my heart is the tribute they pay to the servicemen and women in the audience and currently serving throughout the world, again priceless. In my opinion, the Rankin Brothers is a must see show!!

My wife and I are voting for the Rankin Brother Show at the Starlite Theatre because we consider them the very best show in Branson. Mark and Matt Rankin, the Rankinettes and all the band members are true professionals in every respect. The musical arrangements are superb and they've put together a show that entertains anyone that enjoys great music! They had the audience giving a standing ovation at the end of almost every song in addition to laughing at the humor based on Mark and Matt being brothers. We especially enjoyed seeing the photos of Mark and Matt Rankin from their youth, including performances while teenagers during the pre-show. Their show is a "Family Show" that all ages can enjoy---------and it certainly is a "MUST SEE" while in Branson.

We saw the 8:00 p.m. show the night before our 47th wedding anniversary. The show was so enjoyable that we decided to see it again the next day at 3:00 p.m.. The trip to Branson for our anniversay was great and the highlight of the trip was seeing The Rankins Brothers perform at the Starlite Theatre. They have so much talent in addition to being really great people. We highly recommend their show to everyone visiting Branson and the Starlite Theatre is very comfortable with ample parking.

We've seen several of the other shows in Branson and they have all been very good but the Rankin Brothers Show clearly stand out as "the best among all the rest".

I would like to nominate the Rankin Brothers for the Best Show in Branson. The Rankin Brothers are a class act! The show is amazing as it touches the hearts of people from every age. If you look out in the audience during one of their shows you can see smiles on the faces of little children and seniors alike. If you close your eyes you would swear you have been transported back in time to an Elvis, Neil Diamond or Buddy Holly show.(Or any of the greats they do so well!) Matt and Mark Rankin are two of the most talented artists I have been lucky enough to see. You can tell they enjoy the music and enjoy what they are doing. As you would expect it takes some spectacular talent to back them! Usually when you go see a show, it is all about the lead talent. The Rankin Brothers show is different. They showcase their amazing band that is so great to watch and is more entertaining than any band I have seen in some time...especially Cameron! It is the best all around show I have seen...ever! We would drive all the way from Dallas to see the show over and over again and we plan to!! If any one deserves to win an award for the Best Show in Branson...it is these guys! It just doesn‚t get any better!

My husband and I have seen this show many times over the last year and a half and just love these two young men. What tremendous talent they have. We just saw them again on the afternoon of July 15th. They are located at the Starlite theater on the strip there on 76. This is a very comfortable theater, with comfortable seating, and a nice entrance way with a gift shop, and a snack bar. There are tables and chairs set up out there, as well as a few benches, for eating or just sitting comfortably waiting for the show to begin. And for you guys, there is often times a few old cars out there on display for you to enjoy and take a look at. The staff is all nice friendly people, making your visit there and enjoyable one.

When the curtain opens and these two begin to sing, you can just feel the energy in the air as they begin a wide variety of the old classic songs from the fifties through the early nineties. Songs all of us remember, that bring back such wonderful memories of the past. Each song done as the original artist did them. Sounding just as these original artist did, when they recorded them. It is just amazing to the audience, just how much they sound like these artist. And just song after song. You just can't believe what you are hearing. Such incredible talent. Almost immediately you hear hands clapping, see people bouncing around in their seats. And sometimes hear someone singing along with the two, hoping no one can hear them. What a fun show this is. These two have a stage presence that you just can't help but love. Over the last year an a half my husband and I, have come to know these two brothers a little bit, as well as their parents . What wonderful people they all are personally. It is always a joy to spend a little time with them after the show. They always come out and sign autographs after each show, so that each of you have the opportunity to meet them if you have got the time to wait. Their love for the music that they do is so evident on both of their faces as they sing all of these old wonderful songs. This is a great family show for all ages.

They have some very talented musicians, as well as three lovely ladies who do backup for the brothers. And each of these ladies are very talented themselves, doing several songs on their on. And doing a great job also. They also are very personable young ladies. I thought last years show was great but this year is even better.

The brothers do songs by the Righteous Brothers, Neil Diamond, Simon and Garfunkle, Everly Brothers, Sonny & Cher, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Conway Twitty, You name it. And this year Mark has added George Strait, and Willy Nelson, and what a treat that is And you can't beat Matt on songs like" Unchained Melody", and "The Lion Sleeps tonight". Man can he hit those high notes. And Mark, well I don't know anything he can't sing. Don't miss this show. You won't be sorry, I promise. When you leave you will know you have been entertained.

This was our second visit to the Rankin Brothers show in 5 weeks. We watched, jumped around, sang, clapped and screamed (especially for Elvis). If you close your eyes during the songs, you will swear you are listening to the original artist!

This show is entertaining, funny and friendly. After the show, we went to the lobby to take the opportunity to meet the boys and the Rankinettes. All are so friendly.

My wife and I attended the 2009 season opening show of the Rankin Brothers and it was great. The entertainers received numerous standing ovations during the show and especially at the end of the show. We were in Branson four times during 2008 and saw the Rankin Brothers show each time. Each show was so great and it seemed impossible that there could be any improvements made---------but they've made some changes in the 2009 show and it's now even better than last year. The three beautiful and very talented lady singers, called the Rankinettes, provide "backup" for Mark and Matt Rankin. And they also have their own individual songs of the same musical era to give the show just the right balance of the songs of the 50's, 60's & 70's. The entire show members: the vocalists, musicians, sound and video technicians all were clearly worthy of being voted "The Best New Show in Branson for 2008". If you love the music of that era, or just simply love all good music, this show is
a "MUST SEE" show while in Branson.
