Description

Breakfast with Mark Twain and Norman Rockwell: A one man “Hal Holbrook” type portrayal of Mark Twain with all the wit and wisdom of Missouri’s Favorite Son. You laugh as Twain shares his stories about Life on the Mississippi and around the world. “Clem Samuels” (a.k.a. Dave Ehlert) Branson’s very own Mark Twain will have you laughing in the aisles with his uncanny portrayal of the whiskey drinkin’ cigar smokin’ humorist who inspired the world with his sharp tongue and soft heart. You’ll go back in time during a nostalgic display of Norman Rockwell’s artwork which is projected on a huge projection screen during the show. You’ll see what Tom Sawyer and Rosie the Riveter had in common. Let the artwork of America’s Most Beloved Illustrator take you back to a “better time in America” when doors were left unlocked and you always stopped to help a stranger. All this and a FREE BREAKFAST before the show! Please arrive at the theater by 7:45am.

Here's what the audience is saying:

"Masterful performance, I've never seen a better portrayal of Twain" (A. Roberts, Miami, FL)

"I laughed til I cried". (E. Steffen, Manitowoc, WI)

"Very moving story and powerful images of Rockwell's work." (T. Darby, Chicago, IL)

"Most unique show in Branson!" R. Garrity, (Festival Productions, Hilton Head, SC)

Your visit to the show is made more authentic because it is performed in the first theatre ever built in Branson, The Historic Owen's Theatre adjacent to the new Branson Landing Project in Historic Downtown Branson. This unique showplace retains the element of history with its rock walls and unique design while adding the state of the art sound and lights to create an atmosphere of excitement. And, it's home to 8 Live Shows for 2008 including "Elvis and the Superstars", "Elvis in the Morning", "Hank and Patsy, Together Again", "John Wayne & America's Yodeling Sweetheart", "Loretta Lynn Tribute starring JoDee Marie", "Branson Blues Late Night", "Branson's Dueling Elvis Contest" and of course, "Breakfast with Mark Twain"
