Yes, “Voice of An Angel” is a perfect description of Mary Duff!!  It is actually the title of Mary’s newest spiritual album and a definite truth!!  What an amazing voice and talent!

Irish comedian, George Casey, opened the show and had everyone laughing and in good humor with his clean, comedic Irish storytelling. 

Mary, who comes from Ireland, has been singing since she was 12 years old.  She’ll tell you she is doing what she always wanted – singing for an audience.  She loves ballads and love songs but mixes in a few country standards and gives you a taste of her newest album selections as well.  Some will make you smile while others may bring a sweet memory to mind or even a tear to your eye.

Mary and only one member of her band were permitted visas this trip so she was forced to pull together band members from other shows in the area.  She introduced each one – a few were faces we’d seen before and all very talented artists. 

An unexpected guest appeared playing the saxophone during one of my favorite Doris Day standards, “Secret Love!”  Everyone knows Marvin Short by his wild hairdo – and he can play that sax better than anyone around!  Mary had seen Marvin’s newest show at the Branson Mall, “Top Ten Rock and Roll Revue,” and invited Marvin to appear on her show.  She encouraged everyone to see the new show, also.

A very beautiful lady – all the guys love Mary!  During every show, adoring fans shower her with yellow roses when she sings the Dolly Parton song, “Yellow Roses.”

Mary greeted everyone in the lobby after the show, allowing autographs and pictures. 

Yes, we were very fortunate to see Mary at the end of her two-week run at the Tri-Lakes Center.  We've always loved seeing her when Daniel O’Donnell comes to town but seeing her on her first solo tour was a real treat!

Mary will be returning in the fall with Daniel on November 2nd and then again with her own show next Spring – March 30 to April 8.  Tickets are on sale now at the Tri-Lakes Center, phone 417-336-0219.  Be sure and not let this one pass you by!!
